The Wisconsin Historical Museum seeks friendly, service-oriented individuals who are punctual, flexible, a team player, and comfortable with math and computers. Under the supervision of the Museum Store Manager, the Museum Store Sales Associate Duties include greeting and serving museum guests in our store, maintaining store displays, learning about Wisconsin history, opening and closing museum store, preparation of merchandise for sale, shipping and receiving, and conversing with our visitors.

Job Duties

  • Manage day-to-day office operations
  • Process all incoming invoices
  • Assist with processing staff purchasing card bi-weekly statements
  • Place orders for supplies
  • Pack and mail orders placed through the Society’s online store
  • Answer phone and email inquiries
  • Submit weekly revenue and attendance reports
  • Manage shared work spaces
  • Coordinate distribution of print materials
  • Serve as point-of-contact for contractors
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Excellent at multitasking and being a team player
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable with math and attention to detail
  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to be on time and well organized
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service
  • Knowledge of State of Wisconsin purchasing rules a plus
