Type of EmploymentFederal Work Study funding is required for this position. Candidates must be available to work at least two shifts of four hours or more between the hours of 9:00 and 3:00 per week, Tuesday through Saturday with occasional Sunday, Monday, and evening hours during the holiday season and for special events.

Join the team at the Wisconsin Historical Museum!

The Wisconsin Historical Museum is looking for energetic and engaging individuals to join our Frontline Staff team. Frontline Staff engage in all aspects of the visitor experience at the museum, from leading guided tours, working retail sales, performing light administrative work, and more; even helping set up and tear down exhibits. This is a part-time position of approximately 10 hours per week.

You must have some availability between the hours of 9am-2pm Tuesday, Wednesday, and/or Thursday to be considered for this position.

Qualifications

Applicants must be comfortable speaking in front of large groups, be able to navigate up to three stories of a building and lift up to 35 pounds. You must also be proficient in basic math and computer skills, enjoy telling stories and talking with visitors, and have a history of reliability and punctuality. Experience in retail and/or customer service preferred. You do not need to have a background in history or knowledge of Wisconsin history to apply; we will provide historical content training to any candidate with the right set of skills and abilities.
